Double-decker bus hairsalon and multimedia space

The Bald Patch is a project originating in the creative minds of three London-based hairdressers working as a collective and collaborating with artists in the fields of fashion, art, film and performance. We - Paul Head, Begona Alegria and Karina Fedko - have been working on a number of projects both within the UK and internationally, and are now refurbishing a double-decker bus, which we will use as a hairdressing salon and multimedia space. In previous years we have pioneered new hairdressing techniques, especially in the field of hair extension. We work with a wide range of materials including plastic, wool, fibre optics, feathers, and, while being a strong creative source of London's street fashion and cultures, we also specialize in natural beauty and have clients coming from very different social and cultural backgrounds. Hairdressing, however, is only one side of our project, as we also specialize in wig-making, make-up for fashion and theatre, performance, and are constantly collaborating with likeminded artists.
